DAZN continues betting on sports series productions, and announced the launch of ‘40 Days: Canelo vs. Kovalev’, in partnership with Uninterrupted, the multimedia audiovisual content platform founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. This is a three-part documentary series that premieres today on DAZN and will show the best of the way until the expected fight between Mexican boxer Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Russian Sergey Kovalev.
The second and third episode of the series will be available in the next few days on the platform, a few days before the fight between the two boxers, which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, next November 3rd. DAZN and Uninterrupted announced in April a global distribution agreement between the two platforms. The first edition of the series told the story behind the fight between Canelo Alvarez and the US boxer Daniel Jacobs, last May. In this new edition, Carlos Vela, Mexican footballer and former Real Sociedad player, joined LeBron James and Maverick Carter as executive producer.
‘There is the fight, and everything behind it. ‘40 days’ analyzes in depth what is at stake for each boxer, something especially interesting in a fight that has two corners wanting to demonstrate very different things’, said Maverick Carter, CEO at Uninterrupted. ‘Together with DAZN, we are offering boxing fans a front row seat to see how Canelo and Kovalev think and get ready for the coming fight’, he added.
This new production joins the DAZN original content catalog, which includes titles such as ‘The Journey: Canelo / Rocky’; ‘Lo llevamos en la sangre’; ‘The making of’; ‘Sem Filtro: Flamengo’ and others.
